What is Moorestories.com?
I launched this site to introduce people to my writing and other passionate interests.
I am an award-winning writer, journalist, and communications professional with 20+ years in the field.
My forte is story-telling, which has led me to use photography, print, digital, and social media
platforms to get my work done.
Currently, I am the communications manager at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of
Aerospace Engineering, where I am responsible for promoting the incredible work of our students,
faculty and staff to prospective and current students, elected officials, parents, and the media. Prior to
this, I worked with the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where I coordinated
communications during the latter portion of that school's $12.5 million capital campaign. For 2 1/2
years before that, I worked with Georgia Gwinnett College, where I created and maintained websites
for the College's academic programs.
Writing is my biggest passion, so I am always looking for stories to tell -- including a piece for Inside
Gwinnett magazine, this piece for Free Wheelin' magazine, and this essay for The Republican.
I also love good grammar, French roast coffee, tissue collage, pen-and-ink, and hand-made jewelry,
all of which may find its way to these pages, eventually.
But, for now, it's all about the writing.
